Quick answer: Westinghouse spare parts for Australian washing machines, dryers, fridges, ovens and dishwashers. The parts that fail most: inlet valves and door lock switches on washers, the belt, idler pulley and rear drum bearing on dryers, defrost heaters, thermostats and PTC start relays on fridges, the fan-forced element on ovens, and the drain pump on dishwashers. All are stocked in Australia and dispatched from Sydney the day you order (12pm Sydney cut-off). Match the model number and PNC on the sticker and the right part follows.

Which Westinghouse part fails most, by appliance
Westinghouse is the one brand Australian households tend to own in threes: the washer, the fridge, the oven. That is convenient right up until they start taking turns. One row per appliance below, the fault you are most likely looking at, and the part that usually fixes it, each a live product from the Westinghouse parts range.
| Appliance | What fails most | The part |
|---|---|---|
Washing machine | Door clunks but never locks, or stays locked after the cycle ends | Westinghouse Washing Machine DOOR LOCK SWITCH WWW9024M5SA WWW9024M5WA |
Dryer | Squeal on start-up, thumping, or the motor runs while the drum sits still | Simpson Dryer Belt, Idler Pulley & Rear Drum Bearing Kit |
Fridge | Ice building at the back of the freezer while the fridge section warms up | Westinghouse Fridge Defrost Heater Element 500W Double Pass Large Size |
Oven and cooktop | Fan turns, light is on, oven stays cold or takes forever to come up | CHEF SIMPSON WESTINGHOUSE FAN FORCED OVEN ELEMENT |
Dishwasher | Stops with water in the base and shows i20 on the display | WESTINGHOUSE DISHWASHER WATER DRAIN PUMP |
Two honest notes. Fridge door seals, oven door seals and rangehood filters are not held for any Westinghouse model; send the model number for a straight yes or no. And Westinghouse, Simpson, Chef, Kelvinator and Dishlex all sit under the Electrolux group in Australia, which is why several parts here carry a sibling’s name. The sticker decides, not the badge.
Westinghouse washing machines: inlet valves, door locks and the E-codes
The front loader has finished filling, the door is locked, and nothing happens. The door lock switch fails on the WWW9024M5WA and WWW9024M5SA front loaders in a recognisable way: the door clunks but never locks, or will not release when the cycle ends. The switch in the table is the part.
A weak or missing hot fill on a Simpson or Westinghouse top loader is nearly always the inlet valve. Check the tap and the hose filter screen first; if the tap runs strong and the machine still fills slowly, fit the Simpson Westinghouse Washing Machine Inlet Valve Hot 10MM. Water level sensors and drain pumps are model-specific, so send the number. A flashing code is decoded in the washing machine error codes guide; the Westinghouse washing machine parts page goes deeper.
Westinghouse dryers: the squeal, the stopped drum and the cold tumble
A vented dryer that squeals on start-up, thumps as the drum turns, or runs the motor while the drum sits still is telling one story: belt, idler pulley or rear drum bearing, and usually more than one. Fitting only a belt over a worn bearing is how you do the job twice. The kit in the table does all three, the idler pulley, belt and bearing how-to walks through it, and the LD505EB and LD605EB have their own guide.
Older Simpson-built dryers are simpler. If a Sirocco or Minimax runs hot but the airflow out of the vent has died, the fan belt has let go: the Simpson Sirocco 350 455 500 550 Dryer Fan Belt (Heavy Duty) for the Sirocco, the Simpson Dryer Fan Belt — Fits Minimax, Maxidry & Sirocco for the rest. A cold tumble is the heater element or its thermal cut-out; a motor that hums and will not start is often the capacitor. Display codes are in the dryer error codes guide.
Westinghouse fridges: icing up, clicking and running flat out
- Ice at the back of the freezer, fridge section warming up. The defrost heater in the table and the WESTINGHOUSE FRIDGE THERMOSTAT DEFROST TERMINAL BJ503T BJ504T BJ505T BJ506T are the two that fail; the icing up guide tells them apart and the defrost termination thermostat replacement covers the fit.
- A click every few minutes and a compressor that never gets going. The start relay on the side of the compressor: the ELECTROLUX WESTINGHOUSE FRIDGE PTC STARTER RELAY. Cheap, quick, and worth trying before anyone talks about a new fridge.
- Running flat out and freezing the lettuce, or never properly cold. On a manual-dial cabinet such as the WTM2000WC, the cold-control thermostat: the Westinghouse Fridge Thermostat WTM2000WC.
Fan motors are model-specific, so send the sticker details. Door gaskets are not stocked. If the compressor runs, the fans run and the cabinet still will not pull down, that is the sealed system: licensed-only work. The wider fridge and freezer parts range covers the rest.
Westinghouse ovens and cooktops: the fan-forced element
The light is on, the fan is turning, and the roast veg is still pale after forty minutes. That is the ring element behind the back panel. The catch on Westinghouse, Chef, Simpson and Electrolux ovens is that the same-looking element comes with a bracket or without one, and the wrong style will not seat. The fan-forced element fitment guide shows the difference; the element in the table is where most owners land. Older conventional Chef and Simpson ovens use the CHEF SIMPSON OVEN ELEMENT. Grill and cooktop elements are model-by-model, so send the number. Oven door seals and rangehood filters are not held.
Safety first: a built-in oven is hard-wired to 240V. Isolate at the switchboard and at the wall isolator, and in most Australian states hard-wired electrical work must be done by a licensed person.
Westinghouse dishwashers: what we hold, honestly
The Westinghouse dishwasher range we carry is thin. What we do hold are the parts behind the two most common codes: the drain pump in the table for a machine that stops with water in the base and shows i20, and the ELECTROLUX DISHLEX WESTINGHOUSE DISHWASHER INLET VALVE for one that will not fill and shows i10. Each code has a walk-through: i10 water inlet fault, i20 drainage fault and i30 anti-flood fault. For anything else, send the model and PNC for a straight answer.
Where the Westinghouse model sticker is, and why the PNC matters
Every Westinghouse sticker carries the model, a serial, and a nine-digit PNC (product number code). The PNC is what the Electrolux group indexes parts against, and one model name can be sold under more than one PNC, so write down both.
- Front-load washer and dryer: inside the door rim. Top loader: under the lid or on the back panel.
- Fridge: inside the fresh-food compartment on a side wall, or behind the crisper drawer.
- Oven: on the frame, visible with the door open.
- Dishwasher: on the edge of the door.
Search the model number on the site, or browse the Westinghouse models pages. The Westinghouse model number and PNC guide shows each sticker. Unsure? Send the model and PNC through the contact page and we check it before you order.
DIY or repairer?
A repairer’s call-out and diagnosis typically runs $100–165 before any part is fitted. Against that, an inlet valve, a PTC start relay or a dryer fan belt sits in the $10–30 band, and a defrost heater, a fridge thermostat, a washer door lock or a full dryer belt kit in the $30–60 band. On a plug-in appliance with a clear symptom, that gap is the whole argument.
When to stop. Anything hard-wired (built-in ovens, some dryers and dishwashers) goes to a licensed person in most states. A fridge whose compressor runs but does not cool is sealed-system work. Heat pump dryer refrigerant circuits are licensed-only. Control boards are fitted after a diagnosis, never on a guess. Never bypass a lid switch or door interlock to test a machine. If nothing above matches, a repairer’s hour is well spent.
Frequently asked questions
Do Westinghouse, Simpson, Electrolux and Chef parts interchange?
Often, because they are the same group, but not reliably. The part is indexed to the PNC on your sticker, not the badge on the door. Send the model and PNC and we will confirm before you order.
What is the PNC and why do you keep asking for it?
The product number code, nine digits, printed next to the model and serial on the sticker. Two fridges with the same model name can have different internals under different PNCs.
Do you stock Westinghouse fridge door seals or oven door seals?
No. Fridge door seals, oven door seals and rangehood filters are not parts we hold for any Westinghouse model. Send the model number and you will get an honest yes or no on anything else.
My Westinghouse fridge clicks every few minutes and is not cold. Which part?
Usually the PTC start relay on the compressor. Unplug the fridge, pull the cover, and swap it. If the compressor runs steadily and the cabinet still will not cool, it is the sealed system, which needs a licensed repairer.
Can I replace a Westinghouse oven element myself?
The element itself is a couple of screws and two push-on terminals. The oven is hard-wired to 240V, though: isolate at the switchboard and the wall, and in most Australian states a licensed person must do hard-wired work. Buy the right element, then decide who fits it.
Write down the model and PNC from the sticker and search the model number on the site. If it is not obvious which part you need, send the number through the contact page and we will match it before you order. Everything here is stocked in Australia and dispatched from Sydney’s Northern Beaches the day you order when it is in by 12pm Sydney time.
