How to fix the Westinghouse i10 error — step by step
- Open the isolation tap fully. It is usually under the sink; turn it anti-clockwise until it stops. A partly closed tap causes intermittent i10 faults.
- Check the inlet hose. Pull the machine forward slightly and trace the hose from the tap to the machine — it must not be kinked, crushed or twisted.
- Clean the filter screen. Turn the tap off, unscrew the inlet hose at the machine end (or the tap end on some models) and rinse the small mesh screen inside the fitting.
- Check water pressure. Run the kitchen tap at full flow. If pressure is very low, the dishwasher may simply be timing out waiting to fill.
- Listen at the start of a cycle. You should hear a gentle hiss as the machine fills. Silence with the tap open points to a failed inlet valve solenoid — replace the valve. It sits behind the kick panel at the base of the machine where the inlet hose enters.
