Quick answer: every appliance shows its model number on a sticker or metal plate — each brand just hides it somewhere different. Washing machines: inside the door rim or on the rear panel. Dryers: inside the door opening or behind the kickplate. Dishwashers: on the door edge, visible when the door is open. Fridges: on the inside wall of the fresh-food compartment or behind the crisper drawer. Ovens: on the frame, visible when the door is open. The code is the letter–number line marked “Model” or “Model No” (for example WFL1048, HWFM8012 or WA10J) — not the serial number. Sticker worn or missing? STEP / 01 know what you’re looking for
It’s on the model sticker — and it looks like this.
- The MODEL line is the one you want. It also goes by M/N, MOD, Mod. or E-Nr, depending on the brand.
- Type the whole line — slash and all. Some brands print a version code after the model (LG uses /00, /01…) and versions can use different parts.
- Westinghouse, Simpson, Dishlex, Chef or Electrolux? Grab the PNC as well — the 11-digit number next to Prod. No. It nails the exact version of your machine.
- Serial number isn’t the model number — models start with letters, serials are mostly digits. If the serial is all you can read, send it to us and we’ll decode it.
- It’s a silver or white sticker on the machine itself — never on the box, and rarely on the front.

Model number questions, answered.
What does an appliance model number look like?
A mix of letters and numbers, usually 6–14 characters — WW85T554DAW, WH8060P3, SHPD80W. It sits on the line marked MODEL, M/N, MOD or E-Nr on the model sticker. Type the whole line, slash included — versions of the same machine can use different parts.
What’s the difference between the model number and the serial number?
The model number identifies the machine design — that’s what parts are matched to. The serial number identifies your individual unit. If the serial is all you can read, send it to us on WhatsApp and we’ll decode the model from it.
Where is the model number on a front loader washing machine?
Open the door and check the inside rim of the door opening — most front loaders carry the sticker on the cabinet frame around the porthole. Also try behind the kick panel at the bottom front, or the back panel.
Where is the model number on a dishwasher?
Open the door and look at the narrow side edge of the door — the part you can only see while the door is open. Some brands print it on the tub frame around the opening instead.
Where is the model number on a fridge?
Inside the fresh food compartment: on the side wall above the top shelf, behind the crisper drawers, or on the inside ceiling. It’s almost never on the outside.
What is a PNC number?
The PNC (product number code) is an 11-digit number printed next to Prod. No. on the model sticker of Electrolux-family appliances — Westinghouse, Simpson, Dishlex, Chef, AEG and Electrolux itself. Two machines can share a model name but differ inside; the PNC identifies the exact version, so note it down along with the model number.
My appliance is from ALDI or another house brand — does it still have a model number?
Yes. Stirling (ALDI), Esatto, InAlto and Technika machines all carry a model sticker in the same places as the big brands — and we stock parts for them that most suppliers don’t.
What if the sticker is worn or missing?
Send a photo of the machine — or any number you can still read — to us on WhatsApp and a real person will identify it. The manual, the original receipt, or a number stamped on an existing part can also pin it down.
