Quick answer: On most Hisense front loader washing machines the model number is on a sticker inside the door opening, on the rim at about the 3 or 9 o’clock position, or behind the detergent drawer, while top loaders usually carry it under the lid or on the back panel. On most Hisense fridges the sticker sits inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall or behind the crisper bins. On Hisense dishwashers, open the door and check the edge of the door itself or the frame around the tub. The code you need starts with letters such as HWF (washers), HRCD or HR6 (fridges) and HSCE or HS (dishwashers), and every letter in it matters. If you are not sure which code is the model, photo the model sticker and send it through the Oz Appliance Spares Part Finder.

Why the model number is non-negotiable
Hisense sells washing machines, dryers, fridges and dishwashers in Australia, and the range turns over quickly. Machines from neighbouring series share cabinets, doors and control layouts, so two washers that look identical in the laundry can take different door seals, pumps and valves. The full model number on the model sticker, or data plate, is the only thing that separates them reliably.
With Hisense the difference between series often comes down to a single letter buried in the code. An HWFY7514 and an HWFL1014V are both white Hisense front loaders, but they are not the same machine and they do not share all of their parts. Finding the sticker takes thirty seconds and saves you from ordering a part built for a different washer.
Where to look — by appliance type
Where the model sticker is on a Hisense appliance
| Appliance | Where the model sticker is |
|---|---|
| Washing machine (front loader) | Inside the door opening, on the rim, or behind the detergent drawer. |
| Washing machine (top loader) | Under the lid, or behind the control panel at the back of the machine. |
| Dryer | Inside the door opening, on the rim, or on the cabinet edge beside the hinge. |
| Fridge and freezer | Inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall, or beside the crisper bins. |
| Dishwasher | On the edge of the door, or on the frame around the tub opening. |
Washing machines
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inside the door opening, on the rim | On most Hisense front loaders, open the door and check the rim at roughly 3 or 9 o’clock. Wipe the rim first; the print is small. |
| Behind the detergent drawer | Pull the drawer fully out and look into the recess it slides from. Some models place the sticker here. |
| Under the lid or behind the control panel | The usual spot on Hisense top loaders. Lift the lid and check its underside and the panel behind it. |
| Back panel | Most Hisense washers carry a duplicate sticker high on the rear panel, useful if the machine is already pulled out. |
Dryers
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inside the door opening, on the rim | Open the door and work around the rim; on most models the sticker sits on the lower half. |
| On the cabinet edge beside the hinge | Some models place it on the front edge of the cabinet, visible only with the door open. |
| Back panel | Usually duplicated on the rear panel. Take care reaching behind a wall mounted dryer. |
Fridges and freezers
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall | On most Hisense fridges the sticker is on the left or right wall around mid height. Shift any tall bottles out of the way. |
| Behind or beside the crisper bins | Slide the crisper out and check the wall behind it. Common on French door and bottom mount models. |
| On the cabinet edge, door open | Some models put the sticker on the front edge of the cabinet so it is hidden when the door is closed. |
| Rear of the cabinet | Usually a duplicate near the compressor. Treat this as a last resort, since moving a loaded fridge is a two person job. |
Dishwashers
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Edge of the door | Open the door halfway and check the side or top edge of the door itself. This is the usual spot on most models. |
| Inner door panel | Some models print the details on the inner face of the door, near the latch. |
| Frame around the tub opening | With the door fully open, check the cabinet frame the door closes against. |
What a Hisense model number looks like
Hisense washing machine models sold in Australia typically read like HWFY7514 or HWFL1014V. The letters at the front name the product family and series, and the digits describe the machine’s size and specification on most models. Hisense fridge codes generally start with HRCD or HR6, and dishwasher codes with HSCE or HS, each followed by digits and sometimes more letters.
The letter to watch on a Hisense washer is the one straight after HWF. That single character separates the series: HWFY7514 belongs to one series and HWFL1014V to another, and door seals and other parts differ between them. One wrong letter on your order and the seal that arrives was made for a different machine, even if the digits happen to look similar. Trailing letters matter too, so treat the V on HWFL1014V as part of the model, not decoration. Copy the code exactly as printed, and if the seal is the job at hand, read our Hisense washing machine door seal replacement guide before ordering.
The model sticker also carries a serial number, which is longer and mostly numeric. The serial identifies your individual unit and its production date, but it does not decide which parts fit. If two codes appear on the sticker, the model is the shorter alphanumeric one starting with letters such as HWF, HRCD or HSCE. If in doubt, photograph the whole sticker so every code is captured.
How to read a Hisense model number
| Prefix | What it identifies |
|---|---|
| HWF | Front loader washing machine, as in HWFY7514 and HWFL1014V |
| HWT | Top loader washing machine |
| HR, HRCD | Fridge and freezer |
| HS, HSCE | Dishwasher |
The character straight after HWF separates the washer series, so HWFY and HWFL are different machines and take different door seals. Copy the code exactly as printed, trailing letters included. The longer, mostly numeric code beside it is the serial number.
Sticker unreadable or missing?
Steam, detergent and years of wiping can fade a laundry or kitchen sticker badly. Photograph it anyway: a phone camera with the flash on, held at a slight angle, often pulls out characters your eye cannot read. If the sticker is gone entirely, photograph the failed part itself from a few angles, plus the appliance, and send everything through the Part Finder. The original receipt, the cover of the user manual and any order confirmation email usually record the full model number as well.
Got the model number? Find the part
Once you have the code, put it into the Find Your Model tool to see parts matched to your exact machine, or run a Hisense product search to browse everything we list for the brand. Prefer to send a photo and let us match it? The Part Finder quiz takes about a minute.

FAQ
Where is the model number on a Hisense front loader washing machine?
Open the door and check the sticker on the rim of the door opening, usually around the 3 or 9 o’clock position on most models. If it is not there, pull the detergent drawer right out and check the recess, or look at the back panel. The code starts with HWF.
What does the letter after HWF mean on a Hisense washer?
It identifies the series, and the series determines which parts fit. HWFY7514 and HWFL1014V are machines from different series with different door seals and other components. Copy the letter exactly as it appears on your model sticker, because one wrong character points to a different washer.
Is the Hisense serial number the same as the model number?
No. The model number is the shorter alphanumeric code, such as HWFY7514, and it is what decides part compatibility. The serial number is longer, mostly numeric and unique to your unit. Always quote the model number when ordering parts.
Where is the model number on a Hisense dishwasher?
Open the door halfway and check the side or top edge of the door itself, which is where most models carry the sticker. Otherwise look at the inner door panel near the latch or the frame around the tub opening. The code usually starts with HSCE or HS.
What if the model sticker is faded or missing?
Photograph it with the flash on and at an angle, since faint print often becomes readable on camera. If nothing survives, photograph the failed part and the appliance and send the images through the Part Finder. Receipts, manuals and order confirmation emails usually list the model too.
Where is the model number on a Hisense top loader washing machine?
Under the lid, on the rim of the tub opening, or behind the control panel at the back of the machine. A duplicate model sticker sits on the back panel.
Where is the model number on a Hisense fridge?
Inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall. Some models place it beside or behind the crisper bins, so slide a bin out if the walls look bare.
Where is the model number on a Hisense dryer?
Inside the door opening, on the rim of the drum. Some models put it on the cabinet edge beside the hinge, visible only with the door open.
