Fitting it yourself
Isolate at the wall and pull the plug before any panel comes off, turn off the tap, and expect water in the base. Never bypass or wedge a door interlock — it stops the drum turning with the door open. Hard-wired 240V work is for a licensed person, and a control board is fitted only after a diagnosis.
Easy on this family: the drive belt through the back panel, and the drain pump and its filter from the lower front. Moderate, and worth a free Saturday: the door seal, where the outer spring clamp comes off, the inner clamp is freed behind the front panel and the new rubber must seat square or it leaks on the first cycle; the interlock switch, short once the seal is off the rim; and the tub-to-pump hose, simple but messy.
The element sits low against the tub — look before you pull panels, note how the wiring and the earth were connected, and refit them the same way. If a heating circuit makes you uneasy, call a repairer. The lip seal and bearings kit is the hard one: a full strip-down, the tub split, bearings pressed in and out, and on a machine that has roared for months the shaft may be scored. Get a quote for it.

Why has my Haier front loader stopped heating?
If hot cycles finish cold and the washing comes out greasy, the element is the usual cause. Elements are listed for these models in three groupings, so pick the one whose title names your code. Check the machine otherwise finishes its cycle — one that stops early has a different fault.
What is the loud grinding noise on spin?
Drum bearings, almost always, and the lip seal in front of them usually failed first and let water through. The kit listed for HWF85AN1, HWF95AN1 and HWF95ANB1 covers both. It is a full strip-down, so get a quote before committing.
My machine leaks at the door. Is it always the seal?
