Quick answer: On most Beko washing machines the model sticker is on the door rim, visible as soon as you open the porthole door; if it is not there, check the rear panel, which is the other common spot. Beko fridges usually keep the sticker inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall or behind the crisper bin, and Beko dryers and dishwashers place it around the door opening on most models. You are looking for the code that starts with letters such as WM, WMY or BFL, for example WM5120W, not the longer serial number printed alongside it. Copy the whole code, trailing letters included. If the sticker is hard to reach, photo the model sticker and send it through the Oz Appliance Spares Part Finder.

Why the model number is non-negotiable
Beko runs long model families and revises them between production runs. Two machines can share a shell, a drum size and a spec sheet yet carry different pumps, seals, valves or boards depending on the exact code on the sticker. A WM-series washer and a WMY-series washer will often use different parts even when they look like twins in the laundry, and the same applies within a series as the trailing letters change.
Guessing from the machine’s appearance, or from a part photo that looks about right, is how the wrong part ends up in your letterbox. The full model number ties your appliance to the parts list it was built with, and finding it takes about thirty seconds. That is the entire job before you order anything, so do it first and do it once.
Where to look — by appliance type
The locations below cover most Beko appliances sold in Australia. If you are chasing a sticker on a different brand, our guide to finding any appliance model number walks through every major make.
Where the model sticker is on a Beko appliance
| Appliance | Where the model sticker is |
|---|---|
| Washing machine (front loader) | Inside the door rim with the door open, or behind the detergent drawer. |
| Dryer | Inside the door opening, on the rim of the drum, or on the door face beside the hinge. |
| Fridge and freezer | Inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall, or behind the crisper bin. |
| Dishwasher | On the edge of the door, or on the door frame around the tub opening. |
Washing machines
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Door rim | Open the door and check the rim of the opening; on most Beko front loaders the sticker sits here, often near the 3 or 9 o’clock position. |
| Rear panel | The other common location. The sticker usually sits high on the back panel, so you may only need to lean over rather than pull the machine right out. |
| Behind the detergent drawer | On some models a sticker hides inside the drawer cavity. Press the release tab, remove the drawer fully and check around the opening. |
| Original paperwork | The model is usually printed on the receipt and inside the front cover of the user manual, which is handy if the machine is hard to access. |
Dryers
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inside the door opening | Open the door and check the rim of the opening; on most models the sticker sits on the lower half of the rim. |
| Rear panel | A duplicate sticker usually sits high on the back, though a wall-mounted dryer makes this one awkward to reach. |
| Door face or hinge edge | Some models carry the sticker on the inner face of the door itself, so swing the door wide and check both sides. |
Fridges
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inside the fresh food compartment | Check the side walls of the compartment, usually around mid-height, on most models. |
| Behind the crisper bin | Slide the crisper out; the sticker often sits on the wall behind or beside it. |
| Lower rear of the cabinet | Some fridges carry a duplicate sticker on the back, but exhaust the inside locations first so the fridge stays put. |
Dishwashers
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Edge of the door | On most models the sticker is on the left or right edge of the door, visible only when the door is open. |
| Door frame or tub rim | Some models place the sticker on the frame around the tub opening instead of the door edge. |
| Inner door panel | On some models the sticker sits on the inner face of the door, so open it flat and scan the whole panel. |
What a Beko model number looks like
Beko washing machine codes start with a short letter prefix followed by digits and usually a trailing letter. WM5120W and BFL7510W are typical shapes, and WMY prefixes appear across many models as well. The prefix identifies the family, the digits identify the series, and the trailing letters separate variants within it on most ranges, so every character on the sticker earns its keep. Beko fridges and dishwashers follow the same broad pattern of letters followed by numbers, read straight off their own stickers.
Do not shorten the code when you write it down. Dropping the trailing letter, or swapping WMY for WM because it looks like a typo, points you at a different machine. If a code on a parts listing is one character away from yours, treat it as a different model until the full number matches.
The sticker also carries a serial number, and mixing the two up is the classic mistake. The serial is the longer string of digits, unique to your individual unit, and mainly matters for warranty and age questions. The model is the shorter letter-and-number code, and it is the one that identifies parts. Photograph the whole sticker and you capture both in one go.
How to read a Beko model number
| Prefix | What it identifies |
|---|---|
| WM, WMY | Washing machine |
| BFL | Front loader washing machine |
A Beko model is the shorter letter-and-number code on the sticker, for example WM5120W or BFL7510W. Write down the trailing letter as well, because it separates variants within a series. The longer string of digits beside it is the serial number.
Sticker unreadable or missing?
Laundry humidity and detergent splash fade stickers over the years, and door-rim stickers cop the worst of it. Photograph the sticker anyway, even if it looks blank. Light raked across it at a low angle often brings ghosted printing back to readable, and a phone camera resolves more than your eye will in a dim laundry or kitchen.
If the sticker is truly gone, check the original receipt, the front of the user manual or any service paperwork, because the model number is usually recorded there. Failing that, photograph the failed part itself, including any numbers moulded or printed into it, and send the photos through the Part Finder. A clear shot of a pump, seal or valve is often enough to narrow the match right down.
Got the model number? Find the part
With the full code in hand, start with the Find Your Model tool, which checks your model number against the machines we stock parts for. If you would rather be guided, the Part Finder quiz takes your photos and answers and does the matching for you. You can also browse every Beko part we list in one place, or start from the full catalogue in the shop.

FAQ
Where is the model number on a Beko washing machine?
On most Beko front loaders it is on the door rim, visible as soon as you open the door, often near the 3 or 9 o’clock position. If it is not there, check high on the rear panel, and on some models behind the detergent drawer. Photograph whichever sticker you find so nothing gets transcribed wrong.
What does a Beko model number look like?
It is a short letter prefix followed by digits and usually a trailing letter, with WM, WMY and BFL being common prefixes. WM5120W and BFL7510W are typical shapes. The model is the compact letter-and-number code on the sticker, not the long digit string next to it.
What is the difference between the model number and the serial number?
The model number identifies the design and therefore the parts; the serial number identifies your individual unit and mainly matters for warranty and age queries. The serial is the longer, digit-heavy string on the sticker. For ordering parts, the model number including its trailing letters is the one to quote.
Do the letters at the end of the code matter?
Yes. On most ranges the trailing letters separate variants within the same series, and variants can use different parts. Quote the code exactly as printed, and treat any listing that differs by even one character as a different model until you have checked the full number.
The sticker on my Beko has faded. What now?
Photograph it anyway with light raked across at a low angle, because ghosted printing often shows up on camera. Then check the receipt or the front of the user manual, where the model is usually recorded. If all else fails, photograph the failed part and send everything through the Part Finder.
Where is the model number on a Beko front loader washing machine?
Inside the door rim with the door open. If the rim is worn smooth, pull the detergent drawer right out and check inside the cavity, or read the duplicate sticker on the back panel.
Where is the model number on a Beko dryer?
Inside the door opening, on the rim of the drum. Some models print it on the door face beside the hinge, visible only while the door is open.
Where is the model number on a Beko fridge?
Inside the fresh food compartment, on a side wall. Slide the crisper bin out if the walls look bare, because some models place the sticker behind it.
