- Open the filter hatch at the bottom front, put a tray and towel down, twist the filter out and clear coins, lint and hair clips. Check the housing behind it as well.
- Pull the machine forward and straighten the drain hose, then check the standpipe: the outlet should sit 600 to 1100 mm above the floor and the hose should not be pushed in so far that it siphons.
- Run a drain cycle and listen. A pump that whirrs but moves no water has a jammed impeller; silence, or a click with no whirr, means the pump motor has failed.
