Confirm the seal is the leak

Run a short hot cycle and watch where the water appears. Door-seal leaks show at the front, under the door, usually during the wash and tumble.
With the machine off, peel back the boot’s front lip and run a finger around the inside. Feel for tears, sticky perished patches, or trapped debris.
Check the lower front of the fold — the most common tear point — where coins and bra underwires get flung.
If the boot is intact and clean but you still get water on the floor, the leak is elsewhere — suspect the drain pump, hoses, or dispenser, not the seal.

Replace the door seal (about an hour)

Unplug at the wall and turn off the taps.
Open the door and find the outer retaining band (a spring-loaded wire or clamp) around the front lip of the boot. Lever it off with a flat screwdriver.
Peel the boot’s front lip off the cabinet, noting the drain hole position (it sits at the bottom).
Work around to the inner band at the drum and release it, then pull the old boot free.
Fit the new boot onto the drum lip first, lining up the locating mark to the bottom, then refit the inner band.
Seat the front lip onto the cabinet and refit the outer band — make sure it’s fully home all the way round.
Restore power and water and run a short hot rinse to check for leaks before a full load.
