Quick answer: Every Fisher & Paykel appliance has its model number on a printed sticker in one of three places — inside the door / lid, on the back panel, or inside the detergent drawer / kick panel. On a F&P washer it’s usually under the lid (top-loader) or inside the door rim (front-loader). On a DishDrawer it’s on the side of the drawer when pulled out. If the sticker is faded, the model can be identified from a photo of the internals — send it through the Oz Appliance Spares Part Finder and we’ll match it.

Why the model number matters more than the brand
Two F&P washers that look identical from the outside can take different drain pumps, different inlet valves, different control boards depending on the production year. A WH7560J1 and a WH7560P2 share a name family but the parts list diverges in places. Ordering by “F&P washer” without the model number is a coin toss — and a return-postage headache when the wrong part arrives.
So before you order any part: get the model number.
Where to look — by appliance
Top-loader washing machine (WH-series, WA-series, 9XXXX-A SmartDrive)

Lift the lid all the way and shine a torch along the front rim — the sticker is usually 30-50mm long, white or silver background.
Front-loader washing machine (WM-series, Haier-chassis F&P)

What a F&P model number looks like
Examples from the catalog:
- WH7560J1 — washer, 7.5 kg, generation J1
- WH8560P2 — washer, 8.5 kg, generation P2
- WA1068G1 — older WA-series top-loader, 10 kg
- 92137-A — vintage SmartDrive (9XXXX-A series)
- DD60DAW9 — DishDrawer, 60 cm width
The first letter(s) = product family. The digits = capacity (washers/dryers) or width (DishDrawers). The trailing letter + number = generation.
You want the whole string. “WH8560” is not enough — the generation suffix (F1, J1, J2, J3, P1, P2, P3) changes which parts fit.
Sticker faded, missing, or peeled off — what to do
Common on machines 8+ years old, especially in laundries that double as wet areas. Three options:
- Take photos of the internals — for a washer, lift the lid and photograph the agitator, the rotor (under the tub), and the suspension rod tops. For a fridge, photograph the compressor sticker on the back of the machine (different sticker, but contains chassis info). Send via the contact form on the Oz Appliance Spares site.

- Serial number alone can sometimes work — if you’ve got the serial but not the model, send it through and we can cross-reference to a model in many cases.
FAQs
My F&P washer has two stickers showing different numbers — which one?
The one starting with the product-family prefix (WH, WA, WL, WM, DD, etc.) is the model number. The other is usually a production batch or factory code.
What if I bought it second-hand and don’t know the model?
That’s the most common case we see. Take photos of the internals (or the appliance from the front, including any visible badging) and send via the Part Finder. With 20+ years of F&P, we can usually identify the chassis from the agitator, the rotor, or the door-seal style alone.
I have the model number — what next?
