Quick answer: Your dryer wall mount bracket is chosen by the model code on your dryer, not by the brand badge on the front. Australian vented dryers run on a small number of shared platforms, so one bracket kit usually covers several brands at once — find your model code in the table below and it points at the kit listed for it. Vented dryers mount; heat pump, condenser and washer dryer combos do not, whatever bracket you have.

The master fitment table
We list dryer wall mount bracket kits for 17 Australian dryer brands, built on just three bracket platforms — which is why a bracket sold under one badge so often turns out to be the right hardware for another.

Where the model code is
On most Australian vented dryers the model sticker is inside the door opening, on the rim you see when the door swings out. If it is not there, look at the back panel near the vent outlet, or on the underside of the control fascia. It reads like EDV6051, DE7060P1, HDV60A1 or OCD40WA.
The suffix letters and digits matter less for a bracket than they do for a belt, because the mounting points are a platform feature rather than a capacity feature. What matters is the family — EDV, DE, HDV, AWD — and that is the part of the code you are matching in the table. If your sticker has worn blank, work through how to identify an old dryer with no model sticker before ordering anything.
Why one bracket covers several brands
Australian vented dryers are built on far fewer platforms than the badge count suggests. Simpson, Westinghouse and Electrolux vented machines come out of the same family and share a bracket. Fisher & Paykel and Haier share manufacturing platforms outright, and the Whirlpool vented dryers sold here sit on the same mounting pattern. A large group of budget machines — Omega, Euromaid, Stirling, Tempo, Akai, Rank Arena, Abode among them — are the same underlying 4 to 4.5 kg vented dryer with different fascias.
That is genuinely useful when your own badge is obscure. It is also why you should match on model code rather than assuming: the exceptions are real, and a bracket that is close but not right leaves the dryer hanging on two of its four points.
Manufacturer support sites hold the original manuals if you want to confirm the mounting instructions for your machine before you order — Electrolux and Fisher & Paykel both keep theirs online by model code.
Which dryers cannot go on the wall
This is the check to do before anything else, because no bracket makes it safe:
- Heat pump dryers — the compressor has to sit level on the floor. Mounting one damages it.
- Condenser dryers — water collection depends on the machine being level and upright.
- Washer dryer combos — floor machines, with a water supply and a drain.
If you empty a water container after a cycle, or the machine is plumbed in, it is not a wall candidate. Vented dryers are the ones that hang, and they are also the ones with the mounting points already pressed into the back panel. The method for the install itself is in how to wall-mount a dryer in Australia.
Frequently asked questions
My dryer brand is not in the table. What now?
Check the back panel for the mounting points first — two pairs of slots or hooks near the top edge. If they are there, the universal kit covers most vented machines. Send us the model code and we will tell you what is listed for it before you order.
Two listings look identical for my model. Which do I buy?
Where the same kit appears twice, it is the same hardware catalogued under different fitment titles. Either is correct for your machine; buy whichever is showing in stock.
Can I use a Simpson bracket on a Fisher & Paykel dryer?
No. Those are two different platforms with different mounting patterns. The Electrolux-family bracket suits Simpson, Westinghouse and Electrolux vented machines; the Fisher & Paykel and Haier kit is its own part.
Does the bracket kit include the wall fixings?
The kits come with their own hardware, but the fixings that go into your wall depend on what the wall is. Timber studs, brick and concrete each want a different anchor, and plasterboard alone is not a fixing at any price.
My model code is on the list but my dryer is a condenser version. Same bracket?
No — and it should not be wall-mounted at all. Some model families include both vented and condenser variants, which is exactly why the check above comes before the table.
How high should the bracket go?
Set it so the drum opening is comfortable for whoever uses it most, and leave clearance above a top loader’s lid. Level the bracket rather than the dryer — a dryer hanging out of level wears its belt on one edge, the same way a mismatched belt does in which dryer belt fits my model.
Get the right bracket first time
Photograph the model sticker inside your dryer door and run the code through the part finder, or send it to us with a note about your wall type and we will confirm the kit and the right anchors. The Electrolux-family fitment detail is covered further in the Simpson, Westinghouse and Electrolux bracket fitment guide. Same-day dispatch from Sydney’s Northern Beaches on orders placed before 12pm.
