Quick answer: Find your dryer belt by reading the code printed on the old belt (like 7PH1930 or 4PH285) or the model number on your machine’s model sticker, then match it in the table below. Belts start at $8.95 AUD with same-day dispatch from our Sydney warehouse.

A dryer belt is one of the cheapest parts on the machine and one of the most common to fail, but ordering the wrong one is easy because the belts all look similar and the naming is a mess. A Simpson fan belt, an Electrolux drum belt and a Beko condenser belt are three completely different sizes, and even within one brand there are several lengths. This page is a lookup table, not a fitting guide. The goal is to get you to the exact belt that fits your model, first time. Once you know which belt you need, we link straight to a step-by-step replacement guide at the bottom so you can fit it yourself.
How do I know which dryer belt fits my model?
There are three reliable ways to identify your belt, in order of how sure they make you.
1. Read the code printed on the old belt. If your belt has snapped or stretched, pull it out and look along the flat side. Most poly-V dryer belts carry a stamped code such as 7PH1930, 4PH285 or 5PJE1196. That code is the belt’s exact specification, and it is the most accurate thing to match. Here is how to read it:
- The first number is the number of ribs (the little raised lines that run along the belt). A “7PH” belt has 7 ribs; a “4PH” belt has 4.
- The letters are the rib profile — the pitch and depth of those ribs. “PH”, “PJ” and “J” are the common ones. A PH-profile belt will not sit correctly in a J-profile pulley, so the letters matter as much as the numbers.
- The last number is the length in millimetres, measured around the full loop. So 7PH1930 is a 7-rib, PH-profile belt, 1930 mm around.
Match all three parts and you have the right belt regardless of what brand badge is on the machine.
2. Read your model number off the model sticker. No old belt to read, or the code has worn off? Find the model sticker on your dryer — usually inside the door opening, around the door seal, or on the back of the cabinet. Write down the full model number (for example EDV5552, or a Minimax 150) and match it in the tables below. We list the specific models each belt fits.
3. Measure the old belt. If the code is unreadable, lay the old belt flat, count the ribs across the width, and measure the loop length with a tape (loop it around two nails and measure, or cut it and measure end to end). Ribs plus length narrows it down fast when you cross-check against the table.
A quick safety note before you open anything up: isolate the dryer from power first. Switch it off and pull the plug from the wall, or trip the circuit if it is hardwired. A dryer belt is a mechanical part with no live terminals, but you do not want the drum turning or the machine energised while your hands are inside the cabinet.

A few notes that save people ordering the wrong thing:
- Simpson fan belt vs drum belt are different parts. The small 0210 heavy-duty fan belt (Minimax, Sirocco, Maxidry) drives the blower fan and is the one that “almost always snaps” when the drum still turns but there is no airflow. The longer 0198-300-010 (1930 mm) is the big drum belt on Eziset and Loader models that wraps the whole drum. If your drum has stopped turning entirely, you want the drum belt; if the drum turns but nothing dries, you likely want the fan belt.
- The Simpson and Electrolux 1930 mm drum belt is the same belt. Simpson and Electrolux share this platform, so part 0198-300-010 is listed under both brands at the same $12.29. Order whichever badge matches your machine — it is the identical belt.
- The number on the belt is your safest match. “7PH1930” and “4PH285” are printed on the belt itself. If you can read that code, ignore the model number and match the code.
- Beko condenser belt fitment varies. The 4PH285 fits a long list of Beko DV-series condenser dryers, but Beko changed suppliers across the range, so confirm your model against the product page or use the part finder before ordering.
Which Bosch dryer belt do I need?
Across the Australian-market Bosch dryer families we stock, the drum drive belt comes down to two part numbers — the second one marked 7PH1992 on the belt itself — plus a small 5PHE330 tension belt. Match your model number below, or read the code off the old belt.
| Part number | Fits these models | Belt type | Price | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
00650499 | Bosch WTW86200AU, WTW87564AU, WTW87565AU heat pump dryers | Drum drive belt | $24.95 AUD | Buy now |
00650499 | Bosch WT47W580AU, WTE84100AU, WTE84101AU, WTR85T00AU | Drum drive belt | $24.95 AUD | Buy now |
00753220 (7PH1992) | Bosch WTN84200AU, WTN8542SMA, WTW85460AU, WTW85469AU | Drum drive belt | $24.95 AUD | Buy now |
00753220 (7PH1992) | Bosch WTE84101AU, WTE84105AU, WTE86303AU, WTG86400AU condenser dryers | Drum drive belt | $24.95 AUD | Buy now |
00753220 (7PH1992) | Bosch WT46E30A, WT46G400AU, WT46S592AU, WTB86200AU | Drum drive belt | $24.95 AUD | Buy now |
9000 008 181 (5PHE330) | Bosch dryers that pair a small tension belt with the drive belt — match the 5PHE330 code on the old belt | Small belt | $29.55 AUD | Buy now |
- Two drive belts cover the range. The listings sharing a part number are the same belt, listed more than once so your model is easier to spot. Order whichever listing shows your model — 00650499 belts are interchangeable with each other, and so are the 00753220 belts.
- 7PH1992 reads exactly as explained at the top of this page: 7 ribs, PH profile, 1992 mm around the loop. A couple of WTE models appear against both part numbers, so on those machines the code printed on the old belt is the safer match — if it says 7PH1992, you want a 00753220 listing.
- A snapped Bosch belt shows no error at all. The motor hums, the drum sits still and the display stays blank, because nothing electronic has failed. Our Bosch dryer error codes guide explains why Australian models don’t show E-codes and what the symbols actually mean.
What other dryer belts do you stock?
If your dryer is not Simpson, Electrolux, Bosch or Beko, we carry belts for most of the common Australian brands too. Same-day dispatch applies across the range.

Fan belt or drum belt — which one has failed?
The symptom tells you which belt to buy, so it is worth a moment to be sure before you order.
- Drum will not turn at all. The motor hums or runs but the drum sits still. On Eziset, Loader and most drum-driven dryers that is the long drum belt (the 1930 mm 0198-300-010, or a 7PH/EDV drum belt). On heat pump and many condenser models it is the drum drive belt.
- Drum turns but clothes stay wet and there is no airflow at the vent. On older Simpson vented dryers (Minimax, Sirocco, Maxidry) that is almost always the small 0210 fan belt that drives the blower. The drum is belt-driven separately, so it keeps tumbling while the fan has stopped.
- Squealing or a burning-rubber smell, then it stops. A belt on its way out. Replace it before it snaps and check the idler pulley at the same time — a seized pulley chews through a new belt, which is why we sell the belt-plus-pulley kits (0197300040) for Simpson and Electrolux.
Genuine vs compatible — does it matter for a belt?
For belts, fit is everything and brand is almost nothing. A belt either matches the rib count, profile and length or it does not. The parts above are the correct genuine-fit specification for the models listed, so as long as your model or belt code matches the table you are buying the right belt. Where a genuine kit exists (the Simpson and Electrolux idler-pulley-plus-belt bundles), it is worth the few extra dollars because a fresh pulley protects the new belt.
Frequently asked questions
Which dryer belt fits my model?
Match your dryer in one of two ways. If the old belt is still readable, use the code stamped on it — for example 7PH1930 (Electrolux) or 4PH285 (Beko) — and match that code in the table above. If you cannot read the belt, find your model number on the model sticker inside the door or on the back of the cabinet and match the model in the table. Belts start at $8.95 with same-day Sydney dispatch.
How do I read a dryer belt part number like 7PH1930?
The number breaks into three parts: ribs, profile and length. In 7PH1930, the “7” is the number of ribs, “PH” is the rib profile, and “1930” is the length in millimetres around the loop. So 4PH285 is a 4-rib, PH-profile belt 285 mm long. Match all three and the belt will fit regardless of the brand badge.
Is the Simpson dryer belt the same as the Electrolux one?
For the 1930 mm drum belt, yes. Part 0198-300-010 is the same belt sold under both the Simpson/Westinghouse and Electrolux badges at $12.29, because the two brands share that dryer platform. Order whichever matches your machine. The smaller Simpson fan belts (0210) and the Beko condenser belt (4PH285) are different sizes and are not interchangeable.
How much is a dryer belt in Australia?
In our range, Simpson blower fan belts start at $8.95, the Simpson and Electrolux 1930 mm drum belt is $12.29, condenser and heat pump belts run $21.55 to $26.95, and the Beko 4PH285 condenser belt is $46.95. Belt-plus-idler-pulley kits are $36.95 to $39.95. All prices are AUD.
Will the Beko 4PH285 belt fit my model?
The 4PH285 (part 491500303) fits a long list of Beko condenser dryers including the DV1160, DV1560, DV6110, DV7110 and DV7120, among 30-plus models. Beko changed belt suppliers across the range, though, so confirm your exact model against the product page or use the part finder before ordering rather than assuming.
How do I actually fit the new belt once I’ve found it?
That is a separate job with its own guide. Once you have matched your belt here, follow the step-by-step replacement walkthrough for your machine — we link the relevant guides in the section below. Most belt swaps are a 30 to 45 minute DIY job with the dryer isolated from power.
How fast can I get my dryer belt?
We dispatch same day from our Sydney warehouse on orders placed before the daily cut-off, so most Sydney and Northern Beaches customers have the belt within a day or two.
Found your belt? Here’s how to fit it
This page is for identifying the right belt, not fitting it. Once you have your part from the table above, follow the matching replacement guide:
- Vented Simpson or Electrolux drum belt snapped — see Vented Dryer Belt Snapped? Euro & Electrolux Fix.
- Simpson drum turning but no airflow (fan belt) — see Simpson Dryer Drum Won’t Turn? Replace the Fan Belt.
- Heat pump dryer not tumbling (drum drive belt) — see Heat Pump Dryer Not Tumbling? It’s the Drum Drive Belt.
If any of that is outside your comfort zone, plenty of Northern Beaches tradies will fit a belt you have already bought, which keeps the cost down. Browse the full range in our dryer parts store, or if your model is not in the table above, tell us your model number and we will track it down.
