How to open the Hisense drain pump filter
- Unplug the machine and turn off the tap. Put a towel and a shallow tray (an oven tray works) under the hatch at the bottom of the front panel.
- Open the hatch. It unclips with a fingernail or a flat screwdriver. Behind it you will find the round filter cap and, on most models, a small emergency drain hose with a plug.
- Drain first. Pull the small hose out, remove its plug and let the water run into the tray. Re-plug it.
- Turn the filter cap anticlockwise and pull it out slowly; expect a last rush of water. Clear coins, hair clips, socks and lint. Rinse the filter.
- Look into the housing with a torch and turn the pump impeller with a finger. It should spin freely with a little resistance. A jammed or wobbling impeller means the pump.
- Refit the cap firmly clockwise, close the hatch, plug in and run a rinse-and-spin.

Why is my Hisense washing machine not draining?
