Quick answer: AD-0301 is the model code printed on the round LED lamp assembly fitted to many Arda rangehoods, and the important thing to know is that it is a DC 350 mA, 1 watt LED module — not a 12 volt halogen-style globe. A standard 12V LED or halogen bulb from a lighting aisle will not run correctly on the rangehood’s constant-current driver, which is why the correct replacement is the AD-0301 assembly itself, stocked as a single or a twin pack. Older Arda hoods such as the RVGC900SS and RV900CSS use halogen bulbs instead, and those are stocked too. Not sure which yours is? Photo the lamp and the model sticker and send it through the Oz Appliance Spares Part Finder.

What the AD-0301 actually is
Open the light fitting on a recent Arda rangehood and you will find a slim round LED module with AD-0301 printed on the housing. It is a sealed lamp assembly: the LED, its lens and its connection come as one replaceable part. The rangehood feeds it from a constant-current LED driver rated at DC 350 mA and about 1 watt per lamp, which is the detail that catches people out.
Because the fitting looks like a familiar downlight, the first instinct is to buy a 12V LED or halogen globe of the same shape. On this driver that does not work: a 12 volt lamp expects a different supply, so the result is a lamp that stays dark, flickers or fails early. Replacing like for like — the AD-0301 assembly — restores the light and takes minutes. When one of a pair has failed, it is worth fitting the twin pack, because both lamps have the same hours on them and the second usually is not far behind.

Replacing the lamp
- Isolate the power. Switch the rangehood off at the wall or isolation switch before touching the fitting — not just the fan switch on the hood.
- Free the old lamp. The AD-0301 module unclips or twists out of the canopy cutout, depending on the hood; support it with one hand as it comes free so it does not hang by its lead.
- Unplug and swap. The lead ends in a small inline connector. Unplug the failed module, plug in the new one and confirm the connector clicks home fully.
- Seat and test. Clip the new module into the cutout, restore power and test. If a brand-new module does not light on a circuit where the old one flickered, the hood’s LED driver may be the failed part instead — send the details through the Part Finder and we will confirm what you need.
Check the code before ordering
Two quick checks remove all the guesswork. First, read the code on the lamp itself — AD-0301 is printed on the housing of the LED module. Second, find the rangehood’s model sticker: on most hoods it lives inside the canopy, visible once the grease filters are dropped, or along the edge of the casing. The RVGC900SS and RV900CSS are the halogen models stocked here; if your sticker shows another Arda model, photograph the sticker and the lamp and confirm through the Part Finder. FAQ
Can I replace an AD-0301 with a normal 12V LED globe?
No. The AD-0301 runs on a constant-current DC 350 mA driver at about 1 watt, while a 12V globe expects a 12 volt supply. The wrong lamp will stay dark, flicker or fail early. Replace the module like for like and the fitting works as designed.
Where is the AD-0301 code printed?
On the housing of the lamp assembly itself — remove the module from the canopy and check the back or rim. If the printing has faded, the slim sealed round module with an inline plug and no removable globe is the giveaway, and a photo through the Part Finder settles it.
One light still works. Should I replace one lamp or both?
Both lamps have the same hours on them, so the survivor is usually close behind the one that failed. The twin pack exists for exactly this reason, and swapping both keeps the light colour matched across the hood.
My Arda hood takes a small halogen bulb, not an LED module. Which part is that?
The 90 cm hoods RVGC900SS and RV900CSS are listed for halogen capsule bulbs, stocked as a pair. Let the old bulb cool before touching it, and avoid touching the new capsule’s glass with bare fingers — skin oils shorten a halogen’s life.
The new lamp still does not light. What now?
If a known-good AD-0301 module does not light, suspect the hood’s LED driver or its wiring rather than the lamp. Isolate power and send your hood’s model (from the sticker inside the canopy) through the Part Finder so the right driver can be identified.
