How do I tell which CHiQ door seal I need?
Start with the model sticker, then confirm with the shape of the old seal. The sticker sits inside the door frame on most CHiQ front loaders, or on the rear panel.
The code tells you the family straight away:
- WFL… is a plain front load washing machine. Its seal is a smooth ring.
- WDFL… is a washer-dryer combo. Its seal carries a moulded scoop.
That single letter D is the difference between a seal that fits and one that does not.
The combo seal above shows the giveaway: a raised, box-shaped duct moulded into the top of the ring. That scoop feeds water and air through the drum on a machine that also dries. A plain front loader seal has nothing there, just a continuous rubber lip with two small locating tabs. If you are holding the old seal, look at the top edge. Scoop means combo, no scoop means plain front loader.

What are the signs a CHiQ door seal needs replacing?

How do you fit a CHiQ door seal?
Unplug the machine at the wall before you start, and keep a towel handy because the fold always holds trapped water.
- Open the door and lever the outer retaining spring out of its groove, freeing the outer lip from the front panel.
- Fold the seal inward and release the inner clamp holding it to the tub.
- Pull the old seal off, noting which way up it sits. On a combo, the scoop marks the top for you.
- Clean the tub lip and the panel groove so the new seal seats on a dry surface.
- Fit the new seal to the tub first, locating mark at the top, then refit the inner clamp.
- Work the outer lip into the front panel groove, then seat the outer spring evenly with no puckers or twists.
- Run an empty rinse and spin, and watch the door before trusting it with a real load.
Allow an unhurried 45 to 60 minutes. The springs are the fiddly part, and a seal fitted with a twist is the usual reason a brand new one still leaks.
