Door lock switch for Samsung dishwashers DW60M6055FG and DW60M6055FS, part number DD82-01642A. The lock both latches the door and tells the control board it is safe to run; when the switch fails, the dishwasher will not start, stops as soon as the door is bumped, or reports a door error even with the door firmly shut. A door that no longer clicks positively when closed is the mechanical version of the same fault.

Keep the power isolated while the panel is off, as the lock wiring carries mains voltage.
The model code is on the label at the side edge of the dishwasher door. Isolate the machine at the power point before removing the inner door panel to access the lock. Supplied new with a 12-month warranty.
