Door will not latch, or the machine reports the door is open when it is shut. The condenser GGSCD70 uses the Solt Dryer Door Lock (GGSCD70, GGSHD800W), and the matching Door Hook (GGSCD70, GGSHD800W) is the plastic catch that usually snaps first. Solt 7kg vented dryer parts (GGSVD7)
The GGSVD7 is the larger 7kg vented Solt, and it has its own belt and bearing rather than sharing with the 4.5kg. Loud rumbling or grinding as the drum spins points to the drum bearing; the drum not turning at all while the motor hums points to a stretched or snapped drum belt.

Solt dryer lint filter — clean it or replace it?
The lint filter is the most asked-about part on these machines, so here is the straight answer. On the 4.5kg vented models (GGSVDE45W, IVDE45W) the lint filter sits in the filter grille outlet around the door opening. Lift it out and clear the lint mat after every load — a clogged filter is the fastest route to long dry times and an overheating cut-out.
