About This Part
The drive belt carries the motor’s rotation to the drum. When it stretches, frays or snaps, the motor runs but the drum won’t turn, you may hear squealing on startup, or smell hot rubber. A new belt restores the spin and tumble the machine had when new.
Fitting is a straightforward swap for most owners with basic hand tools — unplug the appliance first, and take a photo before disconnecting anything so reassembly is easy.
